What we store, why we store it, and how long we keep it.
Account data
Signing in with Google, GitHub, or X gives us your name, email address, and avatar URL from that provider. We use them to identify your submissions and votes. We do not receive your password.
Submissions
We store the product details you enter, your demo video (hosted by Mux), and the single cover frame you choose. Frame extraction happens in your browser: the video is read locally, and the frames you do not choose are never uploaded.
Project emails
We use your verified account email to tell you when a moderator approves or rejects your product or relaunch, and when it becomes public. Approval emails include the launch date; rejection emails include the recorded moderation feedback. Cloudflare Email Service processes these messages. We retain send status and message identifiers with your project to retry failures and prevent repeated notifications. These emails contain no tracking pixels.
Website analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand overall website traffic, including page views, referral sources, and device types. Plausible provides aggregate statistics without using cookies. See Plausible's data policy for details.
Retention
When you remove a project it disappears from the site immediately. Its demo videos and stored cover images, including those from earlier relaunches, are scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days. Votes and moderation records remain stored and linked to their associated accounts after project removal.
We retain relaunch history while a project remains in your account. Automatic deactivation hides an inactive project without deleting its data. Video uploads that are never submitted are scheduled for cleanup after 24 hours.

- Cloudflare — hosting, database, object storage, and project email delivery.
- Mux — video ingest, storage, and playback.
- Google, GitHub, X — sign-in, if you choose that provider.
- Telegram — the moderation queue. Moderators see your listing and demo.
- Plausible — aggregate website analytics.
Cookies
We set one session cookie so you stay signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Your appearance preference is saved locally in this browser so your chosen theme is remembered.
Your choices
You can remove any project from your dashboard. To delete your account and associated data, email a@hypedesk.io. See also our terms of use.
