Voicr is a free Mac app that turns your voice into text, captures quick notes, and helps you improve your writing without switching apps. Hold a keyboard shortcut, speak, and your words appear wherever your cursor is—whether you’re writing an email, replying to a message, or working on a document. Have an idea you don’t want to lose? Record a voice note and keep it saved locally for later. Need to polish something you’ve written? Select the text and use custom instructions to fix grammar, adjust the tone, improve clarity, or translate it. You can also add polishing instructions to your dictation, with different settings for different apps. Transcription runs directly on your Mac, so your audio never leaves your device.
